Description
SPICY CALABRIAN SCHIACCIATA is a tasty salami that is obtained by using
appropriately selected and finely minced pork, to which are added lard, salt and chili pepper.
To end themanufacturing process, the product is bagged in a natural casing and left to mature in a ventilated place for a few months.
This beloved Calabrian salami takes its name from the characteristic flattened shapewhich is given during the meat processing.
In the Calabrian tradition, the spicy Schiacciata is often used to fill the typical rosettes (Italian bread),providing a tasty snack, or to flavor pizzas or more simply, it is offered as an appetizer together with othervarieties of Calabrian cold cuts.
